The Mother’sTouch Thermometer uses patented R.A.T.E. technology to measure core body temperature by placing the sensor near the temple.
Before beginning, be sure the forehead is clean and dry, wiping away any perspiration.
To take reading:
- Place the thermometer on your finger like wearing a ring, then place your hand on baby’s forehead.
- Gently press and hold the three sensors against the forehead near the temple to ensure that good contact with the skin is maintained (Figure 4).
- Correct placing and good contact with the skin ensure reliable readouts. During measurement, make sure that the thermometer and the subject do not move.
- The reading will be displayed within 6-8 seconds.
